Wilton Traditional

My client’s downsize from a large traditional colonial to a newly purchased transitional mid-size condo was liberating and exciting. The new home would continue to be the family gathering hub for her adult children and grandchildren. Still needed were the conveniences that her prior home provided, but on a smaller manageable scale for her active lifestyle. Timeless, quality furniture and fine rugs had been acquired over a lifetime. To let them go and be replaced just did not seem right emotionally or environmentally. The new home needed an updated traditional look using vibrant warm colors with a traditional flair.

The design solution was to repurpose the existing furniture and rugs and add new pieces for the newly redesigned family room/kitchen, living room, main entry, and master suite. My network of skilled tradespeople for reupholstery and window treatments paired with my knowledge of fine fabrics and their proper use ensured a beautiful outcome for the project.

Throughout the home I curated unique fine art, selecting works that were sourced through established relationships with local artists and galleries.
